The UK IUA has very few overheads and all our work is done by volunteers for free (not even for beer, which is a shame). Some costs are unavoidable though, like the fees for hosting the web site you are looking at now. Then there is the post office box and our accountant. The list is short and the costs are footling, but the money has to come from somewhere. Please help us make ends meet; buy some of our products.
(Incidentally, if you have ideas for products please let us know. Don't worry if you don't have the whole design worked out.)

Development Sprint Shirts
Each year the annual IUA conference is preceded by an Ingres and OpenROAD code sprint. You would be mad to miss the sprint, which is open to developers of all abilities, but even if you can't get to one you can contribute to the IUA by buying a sprint T-shirt. Besides, is there anything geekier than Daitch-Mokotoff based humour? Or what about turning Larry Ellison's lame sushi taunt to good use?

Hey IUA, is there a shirt for the 2012 sprint? Not yet. Check back after the sprint takes place, maybe in August or nearer Christmas.
Who supplies these things? When you click on an item above you will be sent to the supplier's web site. Currently that will be Amazon or Zazzle, depending. The supplier is solely responsible for fulfilling your order. The IUA gets a tiny, tiny commission for the referral, and that is all.
Will any of this stuff help my career or love prospects? It can't hurt. We got rid of the items we knew were a mistake.
