Thanks to very generous support from Actian Europe we have been able to book Simon Rogers of the Guardian to present this year's keynote address.  Simon edits the Guardian Datablog and Datastore—and is a news editor for the Guardian. He is author of Facts are Sacred.

We are delighted that Pentaho Corporation has chosen to support the Actian Users Association conference in London on June 19th.  As well as providing generous financial support to enable us to run this event at very low cost to our members, Pentaho are also making Alan Marsden available to speak on Business Analytics for Big Data.

The Ingres Users Association (UK IUA)has decided to rename itself the Actian Users Association (UK AUA) to reflect the fact that the majority of our members are interested in the entire range of Actian products, including OpenROAD and Vectorwise.  We hope that everyone feels more included now, and we look forward to users of new and future Actian products participating in the organization and its annual conferences.

As of September 22, 2011 Actian Corporation is the new name of Ingres Corporation.

There is no change of ownership and the same mangement team is in place; it is simply a name change.
